Postdoc fellows and PhD students are invited to submit a first-author abstract of their diabetes related work. Abstracts previously presented or accepted at other diabetes related conferences within the six months prior to the conference (such as the American Diabetes Association 78th Scientific Sessions or the 54th EASD annual meeting) are eligible for submission to this competition.

Among the submitted abstracts, 10 trainees from, respectively, University of Copenhagen (or from other institutions in Denmark or neighboring countries collaborating with DDA), Joslin and Banting & Best Diabetes Centre, will be selected to attend the 5th BBDC-Joslin-UCPH conference and the related Training Day with all travel and accommodation expences covered.

Abstract deadline: 1 August 2018, 12:00 midnight

You will be asked to upload your abstract, when you submit your registration to the Training Day – use the button below to register for the Training Day.

BBDC and Joslin will separately select 10 young researchers from their respective institutions to attend the conference and Training Day, and subsequently ask the selected candidates to register for the Training Day via DDAs website.

The content of the abstract must:

  • Be clearly and directly relevant to diabetes
  • Consist of unpublished data or, if published, the manuscript detailing the work must have been published within the preceding 6 months
  • Be written according to the required format described in this abstract template

Abstracts submitted by trainees in Denmark and neighboring countries via Danish Diabetes Academy’s website will be evaluated by UCPH.

NB! Abstracts submitted for both the 5th BBDC-Joslin-UCPH conference and the Training Day will be accepted for poster presentation.

Size of poster: A0 or A1 – width max. 1 m/ hight max. 1.25 m (see example of poster templates here)
